Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Anshul Garg today said that District Administration Kupwara is making all possible efforts to facilitate general public including stranded migrant labourers during the ongoing lockdown in view of COVID-19.Deputy Commissioner said that home delivery of 36300 quintal rice and wheat has been made during the lockdown period, while LPG has been provided to 16346 families and medicine to 3650 families at their door steps. Besides, Mid Day Meal ration has been provided to 70425 students while as Take Home ration has been provided to 36315 children registered in anganwari centres of the district. He said essential services as per government order are working tirelessly to provide basic facilities to the public.He added that the District Administration is also providing ration and other essentials to migrant labourers who are stranded in the district due to lockdown.As per the data provided by Assistant Labour Commissioner Kupwara, Arshad Qadir, 422 migrant labourers have been provided 10 kg rice, 01 kg sugar, 01 kg salt, 01 kg Pulses, 500 gram milk powder, 500 gram oil and 5kg LPG to each family of 05 members or group of 05 labourers at 13 locations in the district. These locations include Kupwara, Taratpora, Handwara Bus Stand, Industrial Estate Chotipora Handwara, Hospital Construction Site Handwara, zergar Mohalla Handwara, Braripora, Batergam, Salkoot, Krosan Lolab, Halmatpora, Kralpora and Langate.
