In a bid to facilitate the supply of food and other essentials to all the inter-state migrant labourers and worker who are stranded at Kishtwar due to lockdown announced following the corona virus pandemic, the district administration Kishtwar under the supervision of District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara today distributed free rations among the 577 people.30 kg ration packets comprising 10 kg rice, 10 kg flour and 10 kg cooking oil, potatoes, onions, pulses, sugar, salt, tea, spices etc were distributed among the 577 people at various locations of the district.The whole exercise of food distribution was carried out by AD Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs G.R. Lone and Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramod Kumar.The DM in his message has urged the distressed families to stick to the SOPs and guidelines of lockdown by staying at their places and also assured them that they will be supplied with sufficient food and other essentials and they need not get panicked.District administration has also notified helpline numbers for the labourers, residents and workers etc who are stranded in different parts of country.
