The District today saw another corona virus case surfacing with a 65 year old man being found corona virus positive.The man named Om Prakash, resident of Nayagaon has been found corona virus positive and has been admitted to the PGI. His close relatives have also been put under the supervision of the Health Department authorities. The whole area has been sealed.The DC Girish Dayalan said that emphasis of the District Administration is on to contain the disease, breaking the chain of transmission and thus preventing its spread to new areas, cluster containment strategy has been adopted.This includes geographic quarantine i.e. check the unwanted influx as well as outward movement of population from the containment zone , restrict vehicular movement, social distancing measures, enhanced active surveillance, testing all suspected cases, social awareness/mobilization to follow preventive public health measures.As of now Dashmesh Nagar area is the containment zone including some areas of Adarsh Nagar as well as certain localities which overlap with the perimeter of containment zone.It is noteworthy that as of now the quarantine period of a total of 699 persons in the district has been over.The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the people to stay indoors and follow social distancing guidelines besides not paying any heed to the rumours.
