The Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Punjab, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa has taken a unique initiative by sending Rs 5000 from personal pocket to each village of his Vidhan Sabha Constituency Fategarh Churian to provide ration and medicines tothe poor.The Minister has also appealed to the Youth Welfare Clubs, Mehla Mandals and Gurdwara Committees to comeforward and start relief activities immediately during the crises period due to COVID-19.Mr. Bajwa in a letter sent to the villagers said that the contribution of Rs. 5 thousand for each village is not a big amount, but the sentiment behind this is to motivate and inspire people to come forward for the public cause in the need of the hour. The initiative taken by Mr. Bajwa has made a great positive impact in his constituency inspired by his step people has started donating money in villages, as in village Khokhar Rs. 75 thousand, Rupowali Rs. 35 thousand and Bholeke Rs 22 thousand has been given by the people for providing ration and medical facilities to the poor. This public welfare initiative is now gaining momentum in other as other villages are coming forward to join this unique campaign for public help.Mr. Bajwa has sent this small token of help of Rs 5 thousand to all 180 villages of his constituency, besides this he has given Rs 1 lakh to Nagar Council Fatehgarh Churian, Rs 50 thousand each to Nagar Council Kadian and Batala as inspiration for starting relief works.The Minister has appealed to the Panchayats, Youth Welfare Clubs, Mehla Mandals and Gurdwara Committees to start a joint campaign for relief works without any delay.
