District administration Shopian, distributed free ration and other essentials among migrant labour, here today.Tehsildar Shopian, Bilal Ahmad, distributed ration among the migrant labours at various places in the district. The free ration was also distributed by the designated officers in their respective areas.District Magistrate (DM), Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, said that this step was taken in view of lockdown in the district. The ration was distributed among migrant labours so that they may not face any difficult. He said that all requisite arrangements have been put in place across the District and people need not to panic.Sharing the details regarding the availability of essentials, the Deputy Commissioner said that there is buffer stock of essential commodities including the medicine, ration, LPG & other essentials in the district.To prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection, home distribution of ration has been already ordered and designated officers are coordinating on ground with field officers to ensure hassle free distribution of ration across the district by following SOP’s.He further said that people can also place online or phone-in order for the eatables and will get them at their doorsteps for which necessary arrangements have also been put in place.
