All The 898 Villages Of Jalandhar To Be Sanitized Ten Times In The Coming Days

The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today embarked a major sanitizing campaign to de-sanitize all the 898 villages of the district.Flagging off the vehicles here from the Zila Parishad Office, the Deputy Commissioner said that 216897 households in these villages would be sanitized through this campaign in which spray would done in every house for ten times in the coming days. He said that the drive has been kicked off by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and the Rural Development and Panchayat department was the nodal officer for this campaign. Mr. Sharma two lakh litres of de-sanitizing chemical which would be multiplied ten times by dissolving in water would be sprayed in every village.The Deputy Commissioner said that 1760 teams have been constituted by the administration to carry on this work efficaciously. He said that this work would be completed at the earliest to keep a check on the spread of corona virus. Soliciting the support of the villagers and elected representatives in this noble cause, Mr. Sharma said that it was the need of hour to ensure that the virus was kept at bay.The Deputy Commissioner also called upon the officers and staff of the Rural Development Department to perform their duty efficiently so that people could be facilitated in a huge manner. Mr. Sharma said that he would be constantly monitoring the campaign and would ensure that no stone was left unturned for this noble cause. He also underlined the need to jointly make concerted efforts for preparing the people for joining hands against the war against a hidden enemy in form of Corona Virus. On the occasion, District Development and Panchayat Officer Mr. Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota, Block Development and Panchayat Officers Mr. Ram Lubhaya, Ms. Dalbir Kaur and others were also present.
