Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today visited District Hospital Kulgam to take stock of preparation and measures put in place to contain spread of COVID-19, here today.The DC was accompanied by ADDC, ADC, CMO and other concerned officers.On the occasion, he was briefed by CMO about preparations and arrangements which have been already put in place to tackle the spread of Corona Virus.The DC also inspected MCH building, Kulgam, where separate OPD has been started in wake of COVID-19, for the patients with flu or respiratory problems.Later, the DC visited Degree College Kulgam where 8 rooms have been reserved for administrative quarantine.He appealed people to co-operate with the administration and adhere to the advisories issued by Health Department to stay safe and to prevent the spread of Corona virus.People were also asked to inform the administration in case they know any person who has recently arrived from abroad in their neighborhood, family, friend and social circle, in the larger interest of public.In this regard, the administration can be informed of any such case on the contact numbers 01931260388, 9797019686, 9469074992, 7006922564 or 8082208710.
