District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Shahnaz Ahmad Mirza today issued instructions as precautionary measures with regard to COVID-19.According to the orders issued, no restaurants, open food courts, food stalls, road side eateries shall operate in the district till  March 31. Hotels shall inform the District Control Room about the persons/tenants/visitors having travel history to COVID-19 affected countries and persons from outside the state with or without symptoms of COVID-19.No social, religious or ritualistic events shall be held at any public, community, religious place involving a gathering of five or more people besides, no conferences, events, rallies, dharnas, protests shall be organized in district till March 31.However, there shall be no restriction on the movement of people to buy their daily groceries, household articles and medicines while maintaining proper social distancing and avoiding moving in groups of 04 or more persons.According to the order ARTO Bandipora shall make arrangements and ensure sanitization of public transport plying in the district with prescribed disinfectants at such regular intervals as prescribed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.He shall also ensure briefing and sensitization of drivers and cleaners and various transport associations.

Executive Officers, Municipal Councils, Bandipora, Hajin, Sumbal shall ensure that public places are sanitized with prescribed disinfectants at regular intervals.Tour operators, travel agencies shall inform the District Control Room about the arrival of persons and pilgrims from abroad. All the government and private hospitals in the district shall put in place requisite facilities and take due precautions as per the standard operating procedure and advisories issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.The Deputy Commissioner also directed the department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs  to continue their market checking drives under supervision of Additional District Magistrates  and concerned SDM and submit daily reports.Trade Associations shall also take proactive measures in sensitizing their fellow shopkeepers regarding adherence to advisories and requirements of social distancing in the larger public interest.All the government departments including PSUs & Corporations working in the district shall report to the district control room about the arrival of their officers, officials from corona virus affected countries or having been in contact with any COVID affected person.Any violation in terms of obstructing any officers from discharge of his duties and refusal to comply with the above instructions shall invite legal action which includes punishment with imprisonment which may extend up to 2 years or fine or both.
