District Administration Doda today organised a sensitization program for the SDMs, Tehsildars and SHOs to make them aware about their crucial role in combating the spread of the Coronavirus in the district.The sensitization program was chaired by DDC, Dr Sagar D Doifode and attended by SSP, Mumtaz Ahmed; ADCs (Bhaderwah, Doda) ACR, CMO Doda,DEPO Doda and other officials of health department.District Epidemiologist, Umar Anayat Khan, gave a detailed power point presentation on the causes, symptoms besides measures which needs to be taken on priority basis to combat the spread of Coronavirus in the district.He also described in detail the difference of quarantine, isolation and social distancing to the participants. Through videos clips, the participants were acquainted about how to quarantine the suspected cases at home. The participants were also informed about the changing pattern of the affect of the Coronavirus from country to country with the help of acquired data.In his address, the DDC stressed upon the officers to understand their role and responsibilities in effective way to prevent spread of the infection in the district.He said the countries which failed to take the preventive measures in time are witnessing loss of precious human lives despite having all the required Infrastructure. “We need to take lesson from this and should work tirelessly till positive solution comes out,” the DDC added.The DDC asked the officers to follow the instructions of health department without any delay, if it directs for quarantine of an individual in their jurisdiction. He further asked them to be extra vigilant about the arrival of persons with travel history to the affected countries and communicate about the same to the district administration immediately.The disinfection of public places, enforcement of Section 144, awareness through religious places was also discussed.
