District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – Urban (PMAY-U), here today.PMAY-U is a centrally sponsored scheme aiming at ensuring housing for all up to 2022.On the occasion, a detailed discussion on various components of the scheme including Beneficiary Led Individual House Construction or Enhancement (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Credit Linked Subsidiary Scheme (CLSS) and In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) was held.The meeting was informed that during the current year 670 households have been covered under the scheme in the district while a fresh target of 500 households has been set.DDC directed the officers to speed up the work so that the target is completed by 2022.The meeting was informed that a Technical Monitoring Committee is regularly reviewing the implementation of PMAY-Urban while City Level Technical Cell has also been constituted to ensure that the households who do not come under the eligible criteria are substituted by actual beneficiaries.The Executive Officers appraised the meeting about various issues hampering the process of implementation during which the DDC assured to resolve the issues in a time bound manner.Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Officers of Municipal  Committees Hajin , Sumbal and Bandipora , Cluster Officer PMAY-Urban Muzamil Mir, officers of JK Housing Board besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
