District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer, today conducted an extensive tour to Pulwama Town ,Pampore and Awantipora tehsils of the district.At Pulwama DDC accompanied by Tehsildar Pulwama and EO Municipal Committee visited Main Market , Dalipora, New Colony, Dangerpora and took stock of cleanliness and lifting of garbage from collection spots.DDC asked EO Municipality to issue a sanitation calendar for maintaining cleanliness in the town and stressed for maintaining proper sanitation and garbage lifting from the town. He also advised shopkeepers not to occupy the footpath which cause huge nuisance to the commuters.The DDC also fined various individuals for keeping building material on roads.At Pampore DDC accompanied by Principal and Session Judge Pulwama Mohammad Ibraheim Wani, Munsif Nusrat Ali Hakak and Tehsildar Pampore inspected ongoing construction work of new court complex.He directed the executing agency for accelerating the pace of work particularly interior works of the building and ensure its early completion.
The DDC also held an interactive session with the BAR members of Munsif Court Pampore wherein members presented a memorandum to the DDC regarding various issues faced by them. He assured them that their genuine issues will be resolved on priority.At Awantipora DDC visited PHC and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.He checked the attendance of employees and sought details of bio waste management. He directed Medical officer PHC Awantipora to focus on collection of bio-medical waste and segregation of waste material on scientific basis on priority.DDC inspected the medical shop in the premises of hospital and inquired about the availability of medicines. He directed the concerned Drug Controller officials to conduct the inspection of medical shops to check the quality and expiry dates of medicines.The DDC also inspected a patch of land for the construction of proposed mini secretariat in the town.Tehsildar Awantpora and Exen R&B were accompanied him during the visit.
