District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar today chaired a District Level Review-Cum-Consultative Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments for 3rd quarter ending December 2019 under District Credit Action Plan 2019-20, here at Dak Bungalow Khanabal.The meeting reviewed the progress achieved in key sectors including Agriculture, Micro and Small Enterprises, KCC, Education Housing, Handloom, Handicrafts, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, priority & non-priority sectors.The meeting was informed that the total deposits in the district have reached to Rs. 541584 lac while the total advances under various schemes have touched Rs 348334 lac by end of December 2019.The LDM (Lead District Manager), Anantnag, Afaaq Ahmad informed the meeting that against a credit target of Rs 2673crore an advancement of Rs 1215crore have been made by various banks during this period. Under Agriculture & allied sectors including MSME, Education, Housing, Crop Lone, an advancement of Rs.788 crore have been disbursed among the beneficiaries while under non-priority sector an advancement of Rs.426 crore has been released under District Credit Action Plan by the end of December 2019.Similarly, under KCC, against a target of 80,525 Form Operating Families (FOF), loans have been sanctioned to 71639 FOF to the tune of Rs. 1111.98 crore out of which Rs. 1111.82 crore stand disbursed in favour of the beneficiaries. Director, Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI) informed the meeting that 15 training programmes were conducted by RSETI, Bijbehara in which 335 candidates were imparted skill development training, out of which 236 candidates stand settled which include self-finance of 15 candidates and bank financing of 221 candidates up to the end of 3rd quarter ending December 2019.
The DDC directed all the bankers to establish Aadhaar linkage centres for linking of Aadhaar numbers with the bank accounts to enable the beneficiaries to avail benefits under different schemes.He instructed all the officers and bankers to work in synergy so that tangible improvements are witnessed at the ground level. He also called for organising of awareness camps and conducting FLCCs in coordination with line departments.The DDC stressed the bankers to focus on high-density plantation under Horticulture Sector and also to involve unemployed youth under dairy, sheep farming, fish farming for which youth can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes under implementation in the district.He stressed for establishment of Agri-processing units in agriculture and allied sectors, particularly in animal, sheep husbandry and fisheries for which district administration would provide every possible support. The DDC directed the concerned officers to establish the unit on cluster level focusing on traditional trades in handicrafts and handlooms.The DDC also directed the bankers for identifying uncovered villages so that new branches can be established there. He also asked for submitting the list of uncovered areas to ensure 100% financial inclusion.The DDC emphasized bankers to come up with the proposal for establishing a cashless block in the district under Digital India Programme for which the bankers assured that one village will be adopted by each bank under cashless Digital India Programme.On the occasion, the DDC released credit potential plan 2020-21 of District Anantnag under NBARD.The meeting was attended by Zonal Head JK Bank, ADGM, NBARD, LDM JK Bank, Both Clusters Heads of JK Bank Anantnag, Director RSETI, Joint Director Planning, District officers from Line Departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep, KVIB, Industries, DUDA, NURLM, JKEDI, Handicrafts and Handlooms. Besides, representatives of SBI, PNB, YES Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, EDBI & ACCB were present.
