On the directives of Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary, Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Punjab, the department has initiated process for promotions of Supervisors from Anganwari Workers. It is pertinent to mention that the minister, in a high level meeting, has stressed upon to resolve the issues pertaining to Anganwari Workers after listening to their demands and problems.In a press communiqué issued here today, an official spokesperson said that the demand for promotions was pending for long and now the department has started the process to fill vacant posts of Supervisors by promoting Anganwari Workers in compliance with the provisions of Non Ministerial Service Rules 2001. He said that the lists of eligible workers has been uploaded on the website www.sswcd.punjab.gov.in and objections has been sought in this regard. “If anyone has objections or desirous to include her name in the list, she can submit the same with the concerned District Program Officer up till March 13, 2020.The spokesperson further said that website can be visited for more information; clarifying that 10 per cent reservation will be given to the Economically Weaker Sections as per the directions of Punjab Government.
