Deputy Commissioner Pulwama,Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting to review the arrangements put in place to tackle Corona virus threat in the district.The meeting was informed about the preventive measures taken in this regard by the health department in the district. It was given that isolation ward has already been established in the district hospital for the treatment of patients, if any, besides rapid response team and 24x7 control room.On the occasion DDC said that preventive measures are key to contain the virus and asked for generating awareness among people. He also called for effective surveillance and timely reporting of cases, if any.The DDC stressed that more effective IEC campaign will be launched regarding Corona virus at Public places including bus stands ,sumo stands, railway station stations and educational institutions in the District.DC directed the CMO to ensure that the record of those persons who have visited high risk countries is submitted to District administration. She was also directed to constitute surveillance teams at district, block and PHC level.Departments including Health, Education, Information and Revenue were directed to work in tandem for averting the epidemic.Additional Deputy Commissioners of Tral and Awantipora, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar, District Health Officer, senior officers of the concerned department were present in the meeting.
