DDC Kupwara reviews progress under KCC

The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress made under Kissan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme.Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed; Chief Agriculture Officer, Muzzaffar Ahmad Hurrah; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer and Lead District Manager Kupwara attended the meeting.The meeting was informed that under Agriculture sector, out of the targeted 52806 cases, 3508 cards under PM Kissan Credit Card Scheme have been distributed among the farmer beneficiaries to avail various benefits and subsidies. It was also informed that 2751 cards have been distributed among the farmers under Sheep, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries sectors out of the targeted 5893 cases.The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to work in close coordination for timely completion of KCC cases so that the farmers could take benefit of various farmer-welfare schemes envisaged by the government from time to time.
