A one day workshop on “Platinum ten minutes” awareness and training of belt forces in bomb blasts, bullet and splinter injuries was organised today at UTDRF headquarters 2nd Battalion, Jammu.Additional Director General of Police HG/CD & UTDRF J&K Muneer Ahmed Khan, while speaking on the occasion  highlighted the importance of organising such type of workshops to save precious lives following bomb blasts, splinter and bullet injuries. While speaking on the concluding ceremony of the workshop, he asked the participants to share the learning and training with their subordinates.The ADGP appreciated the role of UTDRF 2nd Bn Jammu for organising such programmes. He urged upon all stake holders to prepare themselves in an efficient manner and strengthen capacity building for tackling adverse and hostile situations.As many as, 75 Police Officers (GO’s/NGO’s) of various units of Jammu/Kashmir Zone and Home-guards/Civil Defence attended the workshop. During the event, exercise cum demonstration of rescue operation in case of blast, bullet and splinter injuries were conducted.Earlier the workshop was inaugurated by Commandant UTDRF 2nd Battallian Jammu, Nisha Nathyal. The Commandant emphasised the necessity to organise such type of workshops on a regular basis.Medical Superintendent Super Speciality Hospital Jammu Dr. Deepak Kumar,  Assistant Professor Surgery GMC Jammu, Dr. Sham Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Bhagat (Ortho) GMC Jammu, Dr Runbhushan Singh MD (Rtd) and Assistant Director Fire & Emergency Services S.C Verma (Rtd.) delivered lectures on different topics.Interaction, discussion and deliberations were held between the participants and faculties.
