The district police led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Moga Harmanbir Singh Gill on Tuesday, have arrested a person after recovering 100 grams heroin from his possession during a special checking under campaign against drugs near Rattian village here. The accused has been identified as Jasvir Singh alias Seera, a resident of Daulatpura village Moga.Superintendent of Police (SP Investigation) Harinder Pal Singh said that the police team from Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) led by in-charge Inspector Tarlochan Singh conducted special police checking near village Rattian. He said that the police party had stopped the accused person when he was travelling on his motorcycle bearing registration number PB 05V 2834. He said that during frisking 100 grams heroin was recovered from accused Jasvir Singh. SP Harinder Pal said that the accused person has been arrested and a case was registered under sections 21-61-85 of the NDPS act at Sadar police station Moga.Meanwhile, the police will procure police remand from the court for further investigation of the accused.
