Punjab revenue Minister and firebrand leader of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (B) today caste his vote in Majitha and told the media that SAD-BJP joint candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Arun Jaitley will win the seat with heavy margin. Majithia was seen standing in the queue at the polling station no.32 and seemed in high spirit as he took the whirlwind tour of his constituency under observation of the Election Commission.He thanked the voters for coming out in high number to caste their vote and predicted that the NDA is all set to form the government in the Centre under Narendra Modi.
He said the country need development which can be assured only by the NDA today as the Congress and its allied parties which have ruled for the most of time after independence had failed to bring development and prosperity for the people of the country.``I am extremely thankful to the people for coming out in high number to caste their vote’’, said he. He also said that he had been getting reports from all over Punjab about the heavy polling which is a good sign. He said the Election Commission’s orders restraining him to his poling booth was undemocratic which he challenged and the Commission was kind enough to review its decision.
