The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar reviewed status of various ongoing developmental projects and schemes under Health sector including construction of NTPHCs, Health Wellness Centers, JJSY, PM- Ayushman Bharat and other schemes at a meeting held, here today. The meeting was attended by CMO along with all the BMOs, Medical Superintendent of Sub-district hospitals of Dooru, Seer, Shangus, SE R&B, Executive Engineers of R&B Division Anantnag, Qazigund and Vailoo and other concerned.Threadbare discussions with regard to functioning of Govt. Hospitals, health care facilities, supply and availability of medicines at district health institutions, lab facilities and segregation of bio medical waste.CMO Anantnag informed the meeting that 24x7 medical facilities are being provided at all SDH’s and 11 PHC’s of the district and all testing and diagnostics facilities are available at these centres.He said Under JSY scheme Rs. 1.5 crore has been disbursed through DBT on intuitional deliveries in favor of the beneficiaries while cent percent intuitional deliveries were conducted in 2019-2020 in the district. Under   Prime Minister’s JAY - Ayshuman Bharat free of cost treatment worth Rupees 97 lakh was provided in District Hospital and other SDHs of the district.

Against the target of 1.49 lac beneficiaries, there is a pendency of 44,000 cases due to the non-availability of internet facility for uploading the bio-data of the beneficiaries. Besides, Golden cards have been issued in favour of the above-mentioned beneficiaries.Similarly under NTEP the AYASHAS are provided Rs. 600 per case, pregnant women are being provided free of cost diet, referral charges and drugs under JSSK. The AYASHAS were provided Rs. 1.56 crore as incentive at the rate of Rs. 2000 per month.The CMO informed the DDC about the status of under-execution NTPHCs. He said, out of targeted 5 PHCs 3 stands completed at Akura , Ranipora and Deethu while as work is under progress at Hafizabad and Badazgam.The DDC directed R&B authorities to redouble their efforts for completing the ongoing health projects on priority. He urged the concerned officers to work in coordination for timely completion of the projects. He added that block level officers including BMOs, with their sub ordinate staff must work in coordination and meet twice in a month for better implementations and programme on ground for the benefit of masses.He directed for conducting regular workshops on block level to aware masses regarding various health issues and the preventive measures to be taken.
