To acquaint farmers with modern farming practices, Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today flagged off a group of 25 progressive farmers for an exposure tour to various agricultural institutions of Himachal Pardesh.The tour is organized under National Mission for Agricultural Extension and Technology (NMAET).Interacting with the farmers, the DC urged them to learn the latest technologies and replicate it in field to boost production. He stressed for adopting eco-friendly methodologies in farming sector so that the mission of sustainable agriculture is ensured.Patently, the aim of the the programme is to improve production besides achieving the target of doubling the farmers income by 2022.
