In order to boost the industrial sector and showcase the District of S. A. S. Nagar as an emerging IT as well as Industrial hub, a District Udayam Samagam would be held in the District from 6th-8th March, 2020. Disclosing this here today while presiding over a meeting, the ADC Mrs. Aashika Jain said that on the occasion stalls would also be set up by the various departments such as Industries & Commerce, District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DBEE), Fisheries Department, Social Security Department, Cooperation Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Labour, Dairy Development and Punjab Skill Development Mission etc. The ADC further said that apart from showcasing the strides made by the district in the industrial sector, the occasion would also provide an apt opportunity to the buyers and sellers in the service and manufacturing sector to come together on a single platform. It would also be a perfect occasion for exchanging technical know how. Among others present in the meeting included the Assistant Commissioner General Mr. Yashpal Sharma and representatives of the Industries & Commerce, Dairy Development, Social Security, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Labour, Fisheries, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Cooperation, District Bureau of Employment and Entrepreneurship and the Mohali Industries Association.
