Jai Ram Thakur announces HPSEB Division at Jwalaji and PWD Sub Division at Majheen

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 121 crore in a single day in Jwalamukhi Assembly Constituency of Kangra district today.While addressing a massive public meeting at Kathog in Jwalamukhi area of Kangra district, Chief Minister announced opening of HPSEB Division at Jwalaji  and PWD Sub Division at Majheen in the constituency to facilitate the people of the area. He said that the present state government has been ensuring that people of the state gets responsive, accountable and transparent administration so that they could become partners in development process. Chief Minister said that he and Ramesh Dhawala, MLA of this constituency were elected first time to the State Vidhan Sabha in 1998, although the route was different as Ramesh Dhawala got elected as an independent candidate. He said that although he was new to the present assignment, but he had about twenty years experience both in government and organisation. He said that the people of the State thus had a lot of expectations from his government. He said that the very first decision taken by the state government was of not work with any mentality of vengeance and vendetta. He said that the sole objective of the state government was to ensure overall development of the state.Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government in its very first cabinet reduced the age limit from 80 years to 70 years for availing benefits of old age pension without income criteria, which has benefitted lakhs of senior citizens. He said that another decision was to levy one rupee cess on sale of every bottle of liquor to construct cow sanctuaries in the state. He said that one such cow sanctuary was being established in Jwalamukhi Vidhan Sabha area by spending Rs 2 crore. 

Chief Minister said that although the BJP could not make it in Delhi Assembly elections, but its vote share was about 40 percent, whereas on the other hand the vote share of Congress was very negligible which indicates the fact the Congress has completely lost its base in the country. He said that today the state was blessed to have benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who considers Himachal Pradesh his second home. He said that the National President of biggest political party of world BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda was also from Himachal Pradesh, which was a great honour for the state.He said that the paving the way for  construction of a magnificent of Lord Ram Temple at Ayodhya was also possible during the tenure of the present Union Government led by the dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Jan Manch programme launched by the state government was ensuring that the grievances of the people were redressed at their doorsteps. He said that Chief Minister Helpline 1100 has also been launched through which people could register their complaints through their mobile phones which had been ensuring speedy redressal of their grievances.Chief Minister announced construction of helipad at Kathog. He said that commerce classes would be started at Government Senior Secondary School Gumar and a science block would be constructed at Government Senior Secondary School Kathog.Jai Ram Thakur also announced Rs. 21,000 from his discretionary fund for those school students who performed cultural programme on the occasion.

Earlier, he laid foundation stones of improvement of Hardeep Pur via Baggi Koke road being constructed under PMGSY at a cost of Rs. 6.75 crore and improvement of Kathog to Adhe Di Hattian road being constructed under PMGSY with an outlay of Rs.6.81 crore.Later, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of improvement of Lift Irrigation Scheme Silh in Jwalamukhi tehsil to be completed at a cost Rs. 2.68 crore, improvement work of Kutiara to Traimblu road to be done at a cost of Rs. 4.47 crore, source level improvement and augmentation of various Lift Water Supply Schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission in Jwalamukhi constituency to be done by spending Rs. 38 crore and new building of Police Station, Jwalamukhi to be built at a cost of Rs.5.50 crore, improvement of Khabli Dosaka to Baroli road being constructed under PMGSY with an amount of Rs. 7 crore and Gau Aranaya, Luthan, Gram Panchayat Sundhangal to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 crore. He also inaugurated Community Centre at Jwalamukhi on which Rs. 7.66 crore were spent under ADB.Deputy Chairman State Planning Board and MLA Jawalamukhi Ramesh Dhawala while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency detailed various developmental demands of the area. He said that the state government under the leadership of the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was laying special focus on development of those areas during last two years which had remained neglected so far due to one reason or other.BJP Mandal President M. Rana welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He also urged the Chief Minister for providing adequate funds for construction and maintenance of roads in the constituency. Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Chairman Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Rakesh Prajapati, Superintendent of Police Vimukt Ranjan were present on the occasion among others.
