District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora today issued a notification for filling of nomination papers for Sarpanch and Panch elections in Ganastan, Nowgam and Sumbal blocks of the district.The election for the vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats of these blocks has been scheduled on 05 March 2020. Last date for filling notification is 22 February 2020 while the date of security of nomination papers is 24 February 2020 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 26th Feb 2020.According to the notification the nomination papers for both Sarpanch and Panch can be obtained free of cost from the concerned Returning Officers from their office headquarters.For the Ganastan-A, Ganastan-B and Odina the Returning Officer (RO) shall be present at High School Ganastan while for Dangerpora, Zalpora and Gadkhud Panchayats, the RO shall be headquartered at Higher Secondary School Gadkhud.For Asham-A, Asham-B, Naninara and Nesbal the RO shall be headquartered at High School Asham while for Shilvet, Rakhi Shilvet, Sadhipora and Kawpora the RO shall remain present at MS Boys Shilvet.The nomination papers shall be dully filled up in the office headquarter of Returning Officers concerned or at designated ARO office of in the office of ARO(HQ) located at Mini Secretariat DC Office Complex Bandipora.
