To review the performance of all banks in key area of deposits and advance for the quarter ending December2020, the District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee today convened a meeting of bankers and district officers of various departments under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar at DC Office Complex Udhampur.Threadbare discussions were held on various issues including Issuance of KCCs, Bank and sector wise achievements in lending to priority/Non priority sector under Annual Credit Plan 2019-20, Bank wise position of deposits/ Advances in Udhampur district as on 31-12-2019, Credit disbursement under Govt sponsored scheme, Review of extension of KCC cases under Animal /Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries departments, Progress under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Approval of ACP 2020-21 of District Udhampur, Progress under Prime Minister social security schemes, Improvement on CD Ratio, Timely submission of data by the banks etc.ADDC exhorted upon the officer to organize financial literacy awareness camps in coordination with other departments at Panchayat level so that maximum benefits could flow at ground level.
ADDC asked the bankers to consult the concerned department before rejecting the sponsored case as the departments can play a vital role between the beneficiary and bank for the sanctioning of loan case.The ADDC asked the bankers to put in efforts to increase the CD ratio by focusing on potential areas and stressed on better coordination between banks and government departments for better results. Departments were asked to activate all the accounts of beneficiaries who are inactive under PM-Kissan.He asked the concerned departments to expedite the process for collection of farmer’s data across the district by 15th of February 2020. ADDC asked the officers to create awareness among the people regarding the scheme so that deserved persons are enrolled in the scheme to avail its benefits.Earlier, the LDM, Baljee Naru briefed about the performance and achievement of various banks during the financial year 2019-20 in different sectors of the district.Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Satish Bhagat, Chief Horticulture Officer, Brij Vallabh Gupta, Zonal Head J&K Bank Sushil Gupta and other district officers and bankers were present in the meeting.
