Deputy Commissioner, O P Bhagat, today convened a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue Department.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atul Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Devinder Paul, ADC Billawar, Sandesh Kumar, Sub Divisional Magistrates of Hiranagar & Bani, besides Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other revenue officers were present in the meeting.The meeting was apprised about the progress of status of land acquisition cases, status of preparation of Jamabandis, revenue record including updation of mutations and status of KCC.The Deputy Commissioner laid emphasis on completion of all revenue records as early as possible and asked to submit daily progress report. He asked the tehsildars to hold special mutation camps at their respective tehsils to complete the up-dation. He also exhorted upon the field staff to keep close check on the attempts to encroach upon state land.He directed the revenue officers to complete all the formalities of the farmers so that KCC can be distributed among the eligible farmers before 31st March. He also took stock of land that was vacated from encroachment and stressed on removing encroachment from State land and Kahcharai.
