The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting of Officers of Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, JKHPMC, Forest, RDD, PHE, R&B, I&FC and PMGSY regarding conducting of physical verification of works being carried out in the district.The District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Anantnag along with a team of 20 officers has been assigned to monitor the physical verification of the projects.The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure completion of projects taken under CAPEX Budget 2019 – 20 and languishing projects in the district.He also directed the PHE Engineers to take household data from FCS&CA Department for cent percent coverage under Jal Jeevan Mission.The DDC asked for de silting of irrigation canals under MG NREGA in convergence mode and asked the Horticulture department to transfer 36 Kanals of departmental land on lease for construction of Fruit Mandi at Kehribal.Later, the DDC convened a meeting with officers of Horticulture Department regarding the disbursment of relief among the orchardists, whose orchards were damaged in November 7 snowfall.The meetings were attended by ADDC, ADC, JD Planning, ACD, SDMs, Tehsildars, District & Sectoral officers and Engineers of PHE, R&B, PDD, PMGSY, & I&FC.
