Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state President and Parliamentarian Bhagwant Mann has taken a strong exception to the fresh statement made by the Akali Dal (Badal) on extending its support to the BJP in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, which had decided to pull out of the election fray on the issue of CAA days ago, saying that the Badals had taken a U-turn to protect the ministerial berth of Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. He said that it was the last ditch effort on their part to protect her ministry even it had led the Akali Dal (Badals) to meet its nemesis. In a statement issued on Friday during a road show in favour of the party nominee, Girish Soni, Bhagwant Mann questioned Sukhbir Singh Badal if their alliance partners - the BJP had accepted the demand raised by the Akali Dal (Badals) on the controversial issue of CAA, which had led to the Akali Dal pull out of the poll fray in the Delhi assembly elections. The AAP MP said that the Badal family was going the whole hog to save Harsimrat Kaur Badal's ministry, which had not only compromised on its own morality but had also lowered the party’s lofty ideals, asking how long would Sukhbir Singh Badal and  party patriarch Parkash Singh Badal continue to swapping stand which had led to the downfall of the Akali Dal (Badal) for Harsimrat Kaur Badal.Bhagwant Mann said that the unholy SAD-BJP alliance had already been on political ‘support system’, the formal announcement would follow the results of the Delhi elections when the Badal ‘bahu’ would be shown the door, saying if the Badal family had still some qualms of conscience, it should break its ties with the BJP playing divisive and politics of hatred and help ensure their defeat in the Delhi polls.
