District Development Commissioner (DDC)Anantnag, Mr. Khalid Jahangir today called a meeting to review the preparedness and for creating mass awareness regarding Corona Virus.The ACR Anantnag, SDMs, CMO and other concerned district officers attended the meeting.Threadbare discussion with regard to generating mass awareness through mass media among the people about Corona Virus, symptoms and prevention spread was held in the meeting.On the occasion, the DDC said that although no case of Corona infection has been identified in the district, still we need to be proactive and vigilant to tackle any exigency in this regard.He directed the concerned to constituted teams headed by BMOs and monitored by SDMs for close monitoring of the symptoms of the virus if any, in every nook and corner of the district..The DDC asked the concerned to establish monitoring centres at Qazigund and Banihal for the passengers arriving by road and train from other parts of the country.The Chief Animal Husbandry officer, Anantnag informed the meeting that a monitoring centre has already been established at Qazigund for the animals and birds that come from outside the statewho would be tested for Virus.The DDC asked the CMO Anantnag to establish isolated wards in the district hospital and all the Sub District Hospitals for the patients having Corona Virus like symptoms.He also asked for revisiting of roasters in all the hospitals and PHCs in the district. Besides, directing the doctors and specialists to remain stationed at their respective hospitals round the clock.
