Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu inaugurated the Government Girls Senior Secondary School Bhikhi in its newly updated smart school avatar on the occasion of Republic Day.Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu also inaugurated Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar library that is stocked with latest facilities and books of the school that was founded in the year 1957. Under the smart school project, the school has got six projectors and will cater to the academic needs of 503 students studying from classes 6th to +2. The school has been updated as smart school with the efforts of villagers too.Offering the school to community Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashi said that the Punjab government has rejuvenated education by providing the best of facilities to the government schools. He also announced grant of Rs 2 lacs form his discretionary funds to the school that is now decked with smart classrooms and has many academic and sports merits to its credits. He also asserted more help to the school on basis of its need.
