The Health and Family Welfare, Labour Minister, Punjab, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today gave a cheque of Rs. 2 lakh to the management of the Shastri Model School, Phase - 1 here today.Disclosing this, an official spokesman said that the financial assistance was meant for providing hi-tech equipment for the school laboratory which would be of great help to the students to conduct scientific research and explore new concepts in the field of science. Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included the Political Secretary to the minister - Mr. Harkesh Chand Sharma Machhli Kalan, Mr. Sohan Lal Sharma, Secretary Mr. Mohinder Kumar Chopra, Director Mr. Rajnish Kumar, Principal Renu Bala and Mr. G. S. Riar.
