Inter-Department Carrom (Boys/Girls) Competition of Guru Nanak Dev University was organized at the University Campus. About 10 boys & 09 girls teams were participated in this competition.Dr. Amandeep Singh, Incharge, Campus Sports Committee said that In these competitions MYAS GNDU Department of Sports Science and Medicine was winner, Law Department was Runner-up, Department of Electonics & Communication Engineering remained Third and Architecture Department was fourth in Boys section. Similarly in girls section, girls team of Department of Electonics & Communication Engineering was Winner, Team of Architecture was second, Team of MYAS GNDU Department of Sports Science & Medicine finished Third and Law Department Team remained fourth in theses compitions.Dr. Hardep Singh, Dean Student's Welfare said that sports are essesntial alongwith formal studies so all students should participate in sports of their choice. He said that University sports also inculcate the sense of competition and strengthen tolerance.
