Agriculture Department sends off farmers’ groups for training programme outside UT

Agriculture Department today send three batches of farmers for trainings/ exposure visits outside UT of J&K from 21st to 25th January, 2020 from the Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Jammu for capacity building of the farmers.Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), O. S. Choudhary flagged off the first group of 40 farmers of Bhalwal Block under NAFCC project who will visit Centre of Excellence for Protected Cultivation, Kartarpur, PAU, Ludhina and National Dairy Institute, Karnal during the exposure visit.Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Anil Nargotra flagged off second group of 45 farmers on five Days Training Programmes at ICAR Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation Research Centre, Chandigarh.Third group of 17 farmers was flagged off by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB), Daisy Bhan for training programme at CSK-HPKVV, Palampur.Deputy Director (Central), Jagmohan Bhat, CAO Jammu, F. A. Bhat, Programme officer, Yadvinder Singh Sasan, SDAO Marh, M. R. Rakwal and AEO Bhawal, Vandana Kotwal and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.Interacting with the farmers, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) urged the farmers to fully utilize such opportunities for getting awareness regarding latest technical know-how in the field of agriculture.Agriculture Information Officer, J. C. Raina and AEA Surinder Singh accompanying the farmers for the Exposure Visit to Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation Research Center, Chandigarh while Demonstrator FTC, R. K. Mattu and AEA Vishal Sharma will accompany the farmer to CSK- HPKVV, Palampur.
