Director Animal Husbandry Jammu Vivek Sharma today convened a meeting to review the functioning of Animal Husbandry Department in which central schemes of livestock board and poultry besides various other issues of the Department were discussed and necessary instructions were given to redress these issues affecting these schemes.The Director gave special thrust to the National Artificial Insemination Programme and to make this programme more successful so that the economic issues of progressive farmers is solved as per the guidelines of the scheme.Other issues related to the departmental activities were also discussed and instructions were issued to speed up the process and make it farmers friendly.Joint Director Poultry, Joint Director Farms/CEO livestock development board, all CAHO`s of the different district and other officers of the department were present in the meeting.
