District Administration Anantnag organized public outreach camps at Sallar and Aishmuqam under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir for redressal of public at their door steps.The outreach programme was attended by ADC, Anantnag Sheikh Ghulam Hassan, CEOPDA, Dr. Nasir Ahmad, SDM Pahalgam Syed Faheem, Executive Engineers of PHE, R&B, PMGSY, I&FC, MED, CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSWO, DSO, Tehsildars of Sallar and Pahalgam and other senior officers of the district administration.The locals of Sallar, Kullar, Wallarhama, Dairro, Katsoo, Badroo, Liver, Sheikhpora, Lehandajan, Langanbal, Veerseran, Aishmuqam, Grand, Karshangam, Jaibal, Lutroo, Ainoo, Wajoora, Yashnard and people from adjacent areas of Sallar & Aishmuqam, BDC Chairman Sallar, Panch, Sarpanches, Municipal Committee Chairman, Aishmuqam, Ward members, Awqaf Committee & civil society members were present on the occasion. The people of these areas put forth their demands and raised issues seeking DDC’s intervention for redressal.
The people raised issues related to road connectivity, completion of irrigation projects, issuance of compensation under road widening projects, installation of high capacity transformers, electric polls, laying of water pipe in uncovered areas, construction of buildings for agriculture & horticulture offices at Sallar, posting of doctors, supply of medicines for PHC Aishmuqam, completion of 1km road from Sallar to Aishmuqam via Bagwani, Sakhi Zain-Din ropeway project for easy excess to the shrine, construction of link road for Darsgah-Aishmuqam, completion of Ainoo-Wajurah road and supply of power as per curtailment schedule.The DDC assured the representatives of these villages that their genuine demands will be fulfilled on priority. He directed PHE authorities lay water pipes in the uncovered areas of Sallar, Iram colony and Badshah colony Aishmuqam. The DDC said that under Jal Jewan Mission 2020 every household will be provided tap water connection. He assured the people that power supply system us being augmented by way of up-gradation of LT, HT network and creation of sub stations across the district.
