Major General (Retd.) Shiv Kumar Sharma met the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.The Lt Governor and Sh. Sharma discussed a range of important issues relating to the management of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.Sh. Sharma briefed the Lt Governor about the activities being carried out by the SMVD College of Nursing. He informed that currently, 04 batches comprising of 237 girl students are getting training in the Nursing College and various activities like educational tours, Nursing Fest and Active Students Nurses Unit aligned with National Nursing Body have been conducted.He extended his invitation to the Lt Governor to attend the lamp lighting ceremony of the Nursing College as a Chief Guest. He further requested the Lt Governor for inaugurating the newly built hostel buildings of SMVD College of Nursing to house all the 240 students of four batches.Sh. Sharma further gave a brief description of activities of Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) JK Chapter.
