The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today chaired a meeting of district officers to review the progress of Cluster Model Village Khumriyal under Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission (SPMRM).The Joint Director Planning, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Handloom & Handicrafts and other concerned attended the meeting.The meeting was informed that under Rural Development Department eight works have been approved at a cost of Rs.1761 lakh, which includes various developmental projects including sanitation, access to village streets, citizen services centre, transport, landscaping and recreational & social infrastructure, out of which Rs.98.65 lakh have been spent so far. Under employment generation programme Rs.307 lakh have been approved for six departments including Handloom, ITI, Handicrafts, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture and Sheep Husbandry, of which Rs.96.66 lakh have been expended till November.On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned officers to speed up the pace of works for timely completion.
