DDC Kulgam reviews implementation of JJM, progress of languishing projects

DDC Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today convened a meeting to review implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and status of languishing projects under PHE & Irrigation sectors in the district.Joint Director planning, SE- Hydraulics, Executive Engineer PHE Kulgam, Qazigund, Executive Engineer Irrigation and other concerned attended the meeting.The DDC sought details of all languishing work projects under PHE and Irrigation Sector.The meeting was informed that out of 34 projects are coming up at Rs 46.30 crore under PHE sector in the district out of which 10 have been completed 15 will be completed by this March while work on remaining projects is also apace.The Executive Engineer Irrigation informed that work have been completed at 52 spots out of 77 under execution at a cost of Rs 4.07 crores.The DDC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of work on all projects.Earlier, the DDC reviewed the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the district. He directed the concerned to ensure that no household is left without tap water connection in the district by 2022.
