District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today chaired a day-long public outreach camp here which marked the participation of various delegations, deputations  and other stakeholders form Kreeri and its adjoining areas.On the occasion, various civil society members and senior citizens and PRIs highlighted various issues and demands  for which they sought proper and timely action of the administration.A delegation of civil society Kreeri demanded development of infrastructure in Sub District Hospital Kreeri  besides construction of Community washrooms in main Market Kreeri. They also demanded desilting of Babul Canal to increase its carrying capacity.Similarly, a delegation from  Sheikhpora demanded regular transport facility from Kakothal to  Srinagar and Nambalnar to Baramulla. They also demanded widening of Sheikhpora-Babareshi road.Another  delegation of Kalantra put forth their demand for desilting of Doudhkul while as the public representatives of Uthoora demanded construction of harvesting ponds in upper  reaches of the village to irrigate orchards.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the grievances and demands and assured that all the genuine issues put-forth during the camp shall be addressed in a time-bound manner.  He announced Rs 05 lakh for electric poles for Doulatpora village besides Rs 06 lakh for desilting of Doudhkul. He also directed the ACD Baramulla for construction of community  washrooms at main market Kreeri.The DDC directed the concerned officers for construction of harvesting ponds in the upper reaches which is the dire demand of the farmers.  Regarding transport facility, the DDC asked the ARTO to fulfil the public demand at the earliest.He also stressed upon the officers to provide every basic facility to the people  adding that the district administration is committed to provide every facility to the people. He said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people  and urged upon them to come forward and avail their benefits.Earlier, the DDC accompanied by Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing GM Dar visited the site for Fruit  Mundi at Karawa Kreeri to review the status of the project.
