Two awareness programmes about the schemes implemented by the J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) and process of availing its benefits were today organized here at village Khadergal Bari Brahamana Samba and Narsingh Dayal Ghagwal today.The events were presided over by the Vice Chairperson KVIB Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat and attended by Dy. Chief Executive Officer KVIB Divisional Office Jammu; District Officer KVIB Samba and President and Vice Chairman of Block Development Council Ghagwal, besides a large number of locals and prominent citizens.The Vice Chairperson KVIB, while addressing the gathering advised the women folk to start joint ventures to supplement their household income.Meanwhile, the people of the area appealed the Vice Chairperson to increase the limit of finance under PMEGP, upon which she agreed to take up the matter with the Centre.Later, the Vice Chairperson inaugurated some units including one owned by Aman Sharma under Paper Lamination scheme involving project cost of Rs. 10.00 Lakh at Khadergal, Bari Brhamana, Samba and another at Bari Brhamana under Car washing with the Project cost of Rs. 10.00 Lakh.On way to Ghagwal, the Vice Chairperson inaugurated some more units of Ice cream, Indian sweets, Readymade Garments and a dairy unit.
