District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir, who is also the Principal Census Officer Anantnag, convened a meeting of officers to discuss the preparations for Census 2021, here today ADC Anantnag, Assistant Director, Directorate of Census Operations J&K, ACR, SDMs, Tehsildars & EOs of all the Municipalities attended the meeting.Assistant Director, Directorate of Census Operations J&K, informed the meeting regarding various stages and steps to be followed for Census 2021, including methodology, central monitoring & management system (CMMS), payment of honorarium, code directory, freezing of administrative boundaries, identification of special charges & snow bound areas, setting up of Census Cell (headed by District Census Officer), training for staff, responsibilities of District Census Officer, publicity of census process, designation of staff for the Census, Initiatives at RGI level, Mobile App & Web Portal to be used for data collection and establishing Census Helpline No. 1800-180-2021.The meeting was further informed that training to Census functionaries will be provided at district level, for which two Master Trainers from Anantnag district have already been trained at IMPA Srinagar. It was given out that around 2376 Enumerators and 396 Supervisors would be required in the district for various stages of data collection.The DDC (Principal Census Officer Anantnag) stressed the officers to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines.He added that all the given tasks must be completed within the time frame with greater accuracy.
