District Development Commissioner Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), department.The meeting was attended by ACD, AD FCS&CA, officials of the concerned departments and a large gathering of Fair Price Shop owners and locals.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC urged the concerned to ensure early stocking of essential commodities including rice, atta and K-oil and timely distribution of food grains at all depots and Fair Price Shops across the district. He also stressed the availability of LPG and other essential commodities in the market and urged the AD FCS&CA Budgam to ensure that sufficient stock is available for the consumers.The DDC interacted with the locals and listened to their grievances and assured that all their genuine demands will be taken up with the relevant quarters for early redressal.To ensure sale of standard and quality items to the consumers and curb hoarding, black marketing and over -charging by shopkeepers, DDC directed the concerned authorities to intensify market checking across the district.
