Vice Chairperson (VC) Khadi and Villages Industries Board (KVIB) Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat today chaired a meeting to review the performance of different schemes being implemented  by the board in Kashmir division.The VC announced that the targets under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) scheme have been  enhanced to Rs 25 crore. She directed all the officers to achieve the targets by the end of January 2020. She asked the bankers to sanction the cases already pending with the  banks under JKREGP and Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and to get the margin money released in a time-bound manner in favour of the  beneficiaries.She directed the Director RSETI to facilitate the beneficiaries under JKREGP on priority basis and organize the training programmes fortnightly so that the  beneficiaries will avail the benefits of the scheme without any delay.She stressed on the officers to provide all type of handholding to the youth for the success of their ventures.The bankers assured the chairperson of full cooperation in speedy disposal for cases sanctioned under JKREGP.The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO KVIB Kashmir  Division, cluster heads, lead district Managers, Director RESTIs of District Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam and branch heads of JK Bank and SBI.
