State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a Junior Assistant of Municipal Council Kurali, SAS Nagar district red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 15,000.Disclosing this an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said Sukhdev Singh Junior Assistant posted at Municipal Council Kurali, SAS Nagar district was nabbed red handed on the complaint of Jasveer Singh, resident of Kurali, SAS Nagar district.He added that the complainant has approached the Bureau and informed that the accused Junior Assistant was demanding Rs. 15,000 to issue regulation certificate for his plot. After verifying his information, the Vigilance team from flying squad laid a trap and accused was caught red handed for accepting bribe of Rs. 15000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.The spokesman said a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at Vigilance Bureau Flying Squad Police Station, SAS Nagar and further investigation was under progress.
