The three-day regional workshop regarding finalization of Phase- III data of 10th Agriculture Census concluded here today.The workshop inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad focused on the importance of Agriculture Census. A visiting team comprising Additional Director-General, Deputy Director-General and other dignitaries from Ministry of Agriculture GOI, NIELIT Kolkata and participants from five states also attended the workshop.On the valedictory day today, data of Himachal Pradesh and J&K was scrutinized and discussed. The tables generated by the officers of NIELIT Kolkata were handed over to the states and officers of Ministry for appraisal and finalization.Earlier, discussions regarding finalization of data from the States of Gujrat, Jharkhand and Assam were held. Online tables were generated and thoroughly studied and discussed with the concerned. Officers of NIELIT, Srinagar also attended the workshop and appraised the officers the status of data entry and validation of the data of J&K.Director Planning with Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Zulfiqar Ali Banday, thanked all the dignitaries and representatives from different states for their participation and providing Jammu and Kashmir government a maiden opportunity for hosting the workshop of such magnitude.
