District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the pace of progress achieved under Aspirational District  Programme(ADP), here today.The meeting held threadbare discussions on the action plan under Agriculture and allied sectors, Progress of Health and Wellness Centres and  School Upgradation Programme.The meeting was informed that 11 Health and Wellness Centres are under execution in far off and remote areas of the district; of which, 8 are  near completion.The meeting was informed that four Kani Shawl Training Centres are functioning at Sogam, Langate and Kupwara where 60 trainees are receiving training in skill  development under ADP besides, five Handicraft Centres are being run by Handicraft Department under the programme.The meeting was informed that 100 per cent coverage  has been achieved under Sawach Bharat Mission (SBM) in the district.Besides, 100 per cent target has been achieved by Sheep Husbandry Department under Petitis Pestisides  Ruminants (PPR) Vaccination Programme.

Under the programme 191000 doses of PPR were administered to sheep and goat population in the district. This vaccination programme aims at protecting the sheep and goat  population from deadly viral disease called PPR.The meeting was also informed that 114280 beneficiaries of the district have been covered under PMJJY and PMSBY insurance  schemes. Besides, 193000 bank accounts have been registered under PMJDY with 72 per cent Aadhaar enrolment.The meeting also reviewed ADP action plan of Agriculture,  Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal and Sheep Husbandry departments.The DDC directed concerned officers to redouble their efforts and ensure completion of all on-going works  within the stipulated timeframe. He directed Health department to ensure completion of the Health and Wellness centres at Vilgam, Jumgund and other far off areas. He directed  Chief Horticulture Officer to incorporate technical intervention and machinery up gradation in the ADP action plan.
