District Development Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today inspected several ongoing water supply schemes of Public Health Engineering Department in Bandipora and reviewed the pace of work on these projects.The schemes were approved for funding under languishing projects funded through the Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited. The Deputy Commissioner visited Hevan Colony Madder, Ahamsharief, Mangnipora, Patushai and reviewed the progress of work on the said projects.
He was accompanied by Executive Engineer PHE Bandipora abnd other senior officers of the district.On the occasion, the DC Bandipora said that 77 languishing projects have been approved for completion for which an amount of Rs 145.42 Cr stands approved for the completion of these projects. He said the projects include 38 pending projects of PHE.He informed that an amount of Rs 145.42 Cr has been sanctioned for 77 languishing projects so far which include an amount of Rs 67.46 Cr for early completion of Water supply schemes, besides, 21 projects of R&B, 2 projects of PDD and 4 projects of Health and Medical Education have also been approved under the scheme. He said Rs 4.11 crore have been released so far and the remaining funds will be released soon.During the inspection of the Water Supply Schemes, the DC Bandipora directed the officers to expedite the pace of work so that that the people will be benefitted.
