Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Gulabo Sitabo gets a new release date, again. The film was earlier slated for 28th February 2020 release, but got pushed to 24th June and now the film is slated for 17th April 2020 release.The film is set in Lucknow, revolving around eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo from Uttar Pradesh, their story is full of local humour and songs, depicting day-to-day struggle of common man.Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the new release date. See you at the movies! @ronnielahiri #SheelKumar @writeonj @Kinoworksllp”Shoojit Sircar has earlier worked with Ayushmaan Khurrana in Vicky Donor and Amitabh Bachchan in Piku.Apart from Gulabo Sitabo, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is also working on Sardar Udham Singh Biopic, the film features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role of Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter best known for his assassination in London of Michael O'Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of the Punjab in India, on 13 March 1940, in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, for then which he was subsequently tried and convicted of murder and was hanged in July 31, 1940.
