Atal Dulloo reviews implementation of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY

Asks for expediting registration of members of identified beneficiary families

Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo, today reviewed implementation of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) with all the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents through video conferencing. Financial Commissioner directed CMOs to further expedite registration of family members of the identified beneficiary families under the scheme.The meeting was also attended by Bhupinder Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, State Health Agency, AB-PMJAY, J&K; Principal GMC Jammu and Srinagar; Director Health Services Kashmir and Director Health Services Jammu.Dulloo exhorted upon the CMOs to ensure that no eligible beneficiary patient is left uncovered under the scheme in any of the empanelled hospitals across the Union Territory.CEO apprised that the State Health Agency has registered 12.69 lakh entitled beneficiaries covering about 60 per cent of the entitled beneficiary families. He also informed that, so far, more than forty nine thousand cases have been done in the 156 empanelled hospitals with a total pre-authorized amount of Rs.26.77 crore. Besides, more than nineteen thousand cases have been done post August 2019 across the empanelled health centers of Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, he added.Pertinently, the scheme guarantees provision of health insurance cover to the extent of Rs. 500,000 on a family floater and cashless basis through an established network of 156 health care providers to 6,13,648 AB-PMJAY Beneficiary Family Units across the Union Territories of J & K and Ladakh.
