Judges of Punjab and Haryana High court inaugurate Additional Floor and Kids Day Care centre at District Judicial Complex Jalandhar

 Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Daya Chaudhary and Justice Rajan Gupta today inaugurated six additional courts at Additional Fourth Floor and Kids Day Care  centre at the District Judicial Complex.Addressing the gathering after inauguration, Justice Daya Chaudhary, who was also the Administrative Judge of Sessions Division  Jalandhar, said that people in Punjab in general and Jalandhar in particular were hard working, dedicated and diligent adding that it was a matter of great pride for her to be here  in the city. She said that Judiciary consist of Judges, Lawyers and Litigants. Justice Chaudhary said that in today scenario when Judiciary was an integral part of system  expectations of people have enhanced manifolds.Justice Chaudhary said that integrity and honesty of Judicial Officers was the basic requirement of Judicial system so that no  one could raise finger on them. She said that in the same manner lawyers also have to perform their duty with integrity for well being of litigants. Giving a clarion call to Judges  and Advocates for waging Second Freedom struggle against corruption, dishonesty and other social maladies Justice Chaudhary said that it was necessary to show that we were  committed for dispensing justice to needy and poor strata of society.Raising concern over the rising crime against women, Justice Chaudhary said that Advocates must play a  proactive role For the protection of women rights. She said that the administration and Judicial officers must perform their duty zealously to bring a change in society. Justice  Chaudhary said that Judicial Officers, Lawyers and Judicial staff must render their services diligently to ensure that Justice was delivered to litigants without any inordinate delay.

In his address Justice Rajan Gupta, who was the Chairman of building Committee Punjab, while striking an emotional chord with the gathering said that it was always a home  coming for him during visit to city. He said that the six court rooms which have been inaugurated today would be helpful in solving problems faced by the Advocates, litigants and  others. Justice said that crèche would be helpful in ensuring that the staff in courts was able to perform their duties more diligently.Justice Gupta said that Jalandhar was one of  the most important judicial complex of the state and needs proper attention. He said that the most important thing was to instil sense of justice in bar room. Justice Gupta  appreciated the efforts made by all the departments for the event.Addressing the gathering Advocate General Punjab Mr Atul Nanda said that it was red letter day for Jalandhar  that Justice Daya Chaudhary and Justice Rajan Gupta, were gracing the occasion as Chief guests. He complimented the residents of Jalandhar for the new additional court  complex and said that it would help in better dispensation of Justice to the people. Mr Nanda assured the Advocates that Punjab government was committed for providing a state  of the art Bar Room for them.On the occasion District and Session Judge Mr SK Garg felicitated the dignitaries and proposed the vote of thanks.Earlier, President of District Bar  Association Mr Narinder Singh welcomed their dignitaries to the function. He said that Jalandhar bar has the strength of 3000 Advocates and batted for proper coordination  between the Judiciary and Bar. Mr Narinder Singh also urged Justice Daya Chaudhary and Justice Rajan Gupta to sympathetically consider the demand of new Bar Complex for  the Advocates in Jalandhar.Chief Judicial Magistrate Ms Amita Singh and Advocate Mr Shukar Gujaar Singh conducted the proceedings of stage.Prominent amongst others  present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Navjot  Singh Mahal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Jasbir Singh, Judicial Officers and Members of Bar.
