A work shop cum awareness camp on Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojna (PM-SYM) a pension scheme for un-organized workers engaged with farming , labour class, carpenter, blacksmith, cobbler, taxi driver and other affiliated sectors was organized today at Seikhul Aalam Hall Budgam by Department of Labour, Building Constructions in collaboration with District Administration.A large gathering of registered labour class, Aasha workers, Aganwadi Workers and other concerned attended the day long workshop.The objective of the workshop was to apprise and aware labour class about eligibility criteria and monetary advantages of the pension scheme.The workshop was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganaie.Other dignitaries present on the occasion were JD planning Rafiq Ahmad Dar, Assistant Labour Commissioner Miss Hafsa, AD Fisheries and other concerned.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC urged upon the concerned labour class to voluntarily contribute towards the pension scheme launched by Government of IndiaThis scheme can prove beneficial source of monthly income to laborers.Earlier Joint Director Planning, AD Labour also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the benefits envisaged under this scheme. They urged upon all unorganized labour class to get themselves registered with this scheme.
